So Sweet

Create some fun with the Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set in the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration catalog!

Let's get started with the fun!  Cut two watercolor paper to 6 1/4 X 4 3/4, and one Cherry Cobbler cardstock to 6 1/2 X 5.  Stamp with the Watercolor Wash Stamp Set using Bermuda Bay Ink onto one of the watercolor paper.  Repeat onto the second watercolor paper using Crushed Curry Ink.

Spritz water onto the stamp before stamping.  This creates a more dynamic watercoloring effect!

Arrange the Circles Collection Framelits on to the Crushed Curry watercolored image and place through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.

Place and adhere the die cuts onto the Bermuda Bay stamped image in the same arrangement to match the stamped image.  It's like putting a puzzle together, what fun!

Using watercolor paper stamp three tops of the balloons with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Using this ink prevents the image from bleeding when using the watercolor technique to color.

Repeat with stamping three cones.

Again, using the Circles Collection Framelits, place through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.  Be sure to use the smaller sized circles to fit around the balloons.  Watercolor the stamped images using the aqua painter.

Use the Scalloped tag topper punch for the sentiment on both ends.  Cut the paper lengthwise to fit the words.  Sponge edges with Rose Red Ink.

Create banners using the hexagon punch with the 'Cherry on Top' paper.

Stamp and watercolor balloons on inside of card.  Use Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set with all listed inks.  Add sentiment banner, sponge edges in Island Indigo Ink.  Enjoy!

Home Sweet Home DSC #170

I hope you enjoy this fun birthday celebration card made with one of my favorite stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration catalog!

For this card I enjoyed combining the Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set with the Watercolor Wash Stamp for the background for a great celebration effect!

I stamped the watercolor Wash stamp onto two separate watercolor papers using Island Indigo ink and Crushed Curry ink.  These two colors together are so beautiful and festive that I wanted to see them together! I die cut the Crushed Curry then placed the pieces in like a puzzle for the background.  Added watercolored die cut images using Honeycomb Happiness stamp set with sentiment.  So much fun!

Be sure to check out more inspirations from the DOstamperSTARS Team!

Thank you very much for stopping by!

Blooming Birthday

Bundle and Save 15% on Stampin' Up! Flower Patch Stamp Set and Flower Fair Framelits Dies

This beautiful stamp set provides opportunities for endless creations!  This 'Blooming' Birthday card shows how using die cut techniques can give interesting dimension to the beautiful stamped images.

Enjoy the 'how did she do that'?!

I would like to show you all that you get in the Bundle and Save 15%.  Wow, it is so versatile that the flowers are able to interchange and overlay with each other to create new varieties!!

Let's get started with the fun!  Start with cutting two 5" X 6 1/4" and 4 3/4" X 6" watercolor papers to size and one Island Indigo cardstock at 5" X 6 1/4".  Card and envelope measures 5" X 6 1/4"

Layout design for the front of the card with laying the framelits on the watercolor paper and lightly trace around the dies for positioning.

Place layout through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.  Repeat previous steps for the Island Indigo cardstock without the upper left flower framelit and for the lower right flower use the inner flower die.

Lightly trace on front of card with the layout already die cut. One less leaf on top middle.

Place layout in the Big Shot using tab 2 and wrapping the back of the card around the bottom plate.  Place the framelits on layout with top plate.

This is what the die cut papers look like and should match up to create the windows to the inside of the card.

Now for the fun with beautiful colors of ink!  Lightly trace the layout onto the inside watercolor paper (this is only to give you a visual of what it will look like through the windows).  Add shadows on stamped images with the aqua painter to add dimension and interest. I hope this example gives you inspiration.  Have fun with your creations!

Add the saved die cut centers of the flowers to the stamped images for detailed interest.  Sponge each die cut with complimentary colors.

Use the scalloped tag topper to create tag with sentiment.  Sponge edges and around die cut openings with Island Indigo ink and mat with matching cardstock.
