Blooming Birthday

Bundle and Save 15% on Stampin' Up! Flower Patch Stamp Set and Flower Fair Framelits Dies

This beautiful stamp set provides opportunities for endless creations!  This 'Blooming' Birthday card shows how using die cut techniques can give interesting dimension to the beautiful stamped images.

Enjoy the 'how did she do that'?!

I would like to show you all that you get in the Bundle and Save 15%.  Wow, it is so versatile that the flowers are able to interchange and overlay with each other to create new varieties!!

Let's get started with the fun!  Start with cutting two 5" X 6 1/4" and 4 3/4" X 6" watercolor papers to size and one Island Indigo cardstock at 5" X 6 1/4".  Card and envelope measures 5" X 6 1/4"

Layout design for the front of the card with laying the framelits on the watercolor paper and lightly trace around the dies for positioning.

Place layout through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.  Repeat previous steps for the Island Indigo cardstock without the upper left flower framelit and for the lower right flower use the inner flower die.

Lightly trace on front of card with the layout already die cut. One less leaf on top middle.

Place layout in the Big Shot using tab 2 and wrapping the back of the card around the bottom plate.  Place the framelits on layout with top plate.

This is what the die cut papers look like and should match up to create the windows to the inside of the card.

Now for the fun with beautiful colors of ink!  Lightly trace the layout onto the inside watercolor paper (this is only to give you a visual of what it will look like through the windows).  Add shadows on stamped images with the aqua painter to add dimension and interest. I hope this example gives you inspiration.  Have fun with your creations!

Add the saved die cut centers of the flowers to the stamped images for detailed interest.  Sponge each die cut with complimentary colors.

Use the scalloped tag topper to create tag with sentiment.  Sponge edges and around die cut openings with Island Indigo ink and mat with matching cardstock.
